Well, Jerry grossly overpaid. Golden is worth a 3rd. Assuming they keep him.

I hate that Detroit lost him - he's a wonderful guy to have on and off the field. But the Lions have an eye to the future and if they weren't going to pay him at 31 the kind of money he is expecting, then a third round pick isn't bad compensation. The Lions traded Tate & a 5th for Snacks & a 3rd. Accumulating assets the Patriots way.
