He was never going anywhere. The team would never let him go. His agent was the one trying to stir **** up (Russ is his only Football client). Of course, the media made a bigger deal out of it...Because that's what they do lol.

He's a baseball guy (MLB clients). Doesn't have a ton of experience dealing with NFL teams. So that's why these negotiations seem so unorthodox. But in the end, he got what he wanted.
