Will Daniel Jones win ROY?

I hope he does. Anybody who gets booed on draft night, I automatically start rooting for.

Nah I'll take Kyler Murray just based on passing volume. Loved Montgomery going into the season, but Nagy's playcalling and personnel packages has been frustrating to say the least.

NY was expected to go with Haskins. Barkley even expected him to be selected a month before the draft. All that changed obviously and I wish Daniel Jones the best.

I don't expect him to win OROY, unless his numbers are just that good, but the Giants will need to be an above .500 football team.

Maybe, but you can't do much better than starting your career off against the Tampa Bay and Washington secondaries. Have to give the Giants credit for seeing this a long time ago. They probably thought, no matter what if we start 0-2 were getting Jones in there against a friendly schedule.

Let's see what he does against better defenses first.

I don't know why people keep dumping on the Bucs, regardless of record, TB always puts out a quality or decent defense every year. It has been TB's offense that has been inconsistent for the last decade.

They ranked 27th in the league in pass defense last season and so far in 3 games this year they are 21st. I said their secondary isn't very good and it isn't.

There is a reason DFS players target the Bucs defense every weekend.

I think currently Dimes has the best stats of all NFL rookies.

Bill Barnwell, for his 1st quarter awards has Gardner Minshew as Offensive Rookie of the year, with the runner up being Terry McLaurin followed by Josh Jacobs.

Of course Jones has only played in two games, so maybe he makes up ground or maybe Barnwell is off. A lot of other first quarter award picks in here too..

^ Jones has more TDs per game than Minshew when you count both passing and rushing TDs. Jones' redzone efficiency is 66% while Minshew is 40%

Yeah, he's done fairly well against the Bucs and Redskins. Minshew has played the Chiefs, Texans, Titans and Broncos so has faced some pretty tough defenses.

Im rooting for him. It wasn't just getting booed on draft night, it was the next month or so of all the so called "experts" talking about what a horrible pick it was. Whenever that happens, I always root for the guy to show how stupid all the talking heads can be. Even though if he does succeed and prove them all wrong, all the talking heads will just act like they knew this was probably going to happen.
