I'm not sure how good the Bucs OL is, but if it's any good, Rivers would be a solid QB there. Arians is very good with QBs...worked with Big Ben, then was interim coach and offensive coordinator for the Colts during Andrew Luck's rookie year and they went 11-5, then worked with Carson Palmer who had a resurgence and led the Cards to a 13-3 record while passing for a career high 35 tds, and a career low of 11 ints (when playing 13 or more games and he played 16 that year). Palmer was 36 that year. I don't even think the Cards had that good of an OL and he was an immobile pocket passer as well.

I hope he goes to Tampa. I'd like to root for him there and think he'd do well if they had a decent line.

The Bucs offensive line was ranked 7th according to PFF. They actually had some of the best pass protection this season especially from the interior of their offensive line. If that holds true next season Rivers could work.

The Chargers had one of the worst OLs in football this year, before they had injuries, and then lost their top two OL and more. Rivers had no chance and can't scramble. He had a bad season but if he has time in the pocket, and Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to throw too, he will surprise people.

I think he's fine. It's not like a pitcher in baseball. He throws it maybe 30 times a game, 16 weeks, many of them short passes to Keenan Allen or the RB, but could still air it out to Mike Williams. Made some great throws. If you're just talking about age in general, I don't think that's an issue with his arm or being able to play. He has always been tough, hasn't dealt with injuries really, and hasn't put himself at risk by running. He probably took more sacks this year but will usually throw it away to avoid a sack if he can.

He's also almost certainly never had a drink or drug or smoke or any of that stuff in his life as well.

I believe Rivers will do well in Tampa Bay. He won't have the backfield he had but Evans will be a nice large target Rivers needs.
