Jon Gruden had assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia tell the Las Vegas Raiders that Gruden was hospitalized with COVID-19 to test how the players would react.

Gruden was not actually hospitalized and has not contracted COVID-19.

The Raiders are beginning their first season in Las Vegas.

Looks like Gruden has been watching too much Office, this is straight out of the Michael Scott playbook.

That’s crazy. Maybe it’s different than what I’m picturing in my head but it sounds like a “loyalty test” which is terrible

I'm right there with you. Seems like he wanted to know who cared. Like one of those things a crazy GF with security issues would pull. Can't see that going well with the team once it's discovered. You'd like to think Gruden would know that.

It just seems so juvenile. And then this of course brings a follow up: A) Is Gruden just totally insecure, and is losing the plot? Or B) are things actually that bad down there, that this was something he felt he needed to do??
