The implications of expanded playoffs

Is it worth discussing the effects of expanded playoffs on the remainder of the 2020 season? In years past, the Cards and Bucs would be battling down the stretch for the 6th and final playoff spot. With the expanded playoffs, they will likely both comfortably be in as the next closest team is the... Bears? Where the **** is the intrigue?

Not to mention the added advantage 1 seeds will have now that they are the only ones who will receive a bye. I realize none of this matters because the NFL is only interested in additional revenue, it's just **** lame man.

there will be a pretty heavy battle in the AFC for that last seed. NFC just has a lot more top end talent like normal. I’m always game for more football

How often is the AFC this heavily stacked in terms of above .500 teams? In a regular year you're letting in at least one .500 or below team. As much as I enjoy the prospect of more football I do not support it at the expense of regular season competitiveness for the playoffs.

AFC will be a dog fight. My predictions for 3 Wild Card spots:

5. Indianapolis
6. Cleveland
7. Las Vegas
