huge loss for the packers. I would much rather have him than Aaron Jones....Lines win superbowls, not Rbs

Looks like the Jets and their coaches aren't actually going to be carbon copies of the 49ers and their system. Shanahan never would've paid that much for a WR.

Anyone else surprised with the names getting paid on day 1? Some big contracts to guys I've barely or never heard of, and lots of marquee guys left.

That's pretty standard for the first few days of Free Agency. Teams pay a premium price during the first wave.

I just thought with so many established guys on the FA market we'd see some bigger names being signed. I suppose FA starts with the healthy, young guys who teams want locked in long term, then it goes to the bigger name players who are negotiating perhaps for more than they might be worth (Trent Williams, Kenny Golladay, Juju), then its a bit of a free for all between moderately priced role players and talented veterans like Ndamakong Suh, Patrick Peterson, etc) who are risks due to their age.

Pats sign hunter Henry!
This has poor man's Gronk/Hernandez vibes!

About to see a **** ton of 12 personnel next season, still have my reservations about Cam spearheading the attack though.

So do I. He's been an awful QB for a few years now.
They must have someone else in mind to lead the offense, right?

Re: Free Agency Frenzy
I feel bad for the Dolphins. They made huge strides last year, now the Patriots come out and sign everyone.
Cam may not be above average any more, but I don't think hes as bad as he looked last year. Edelman played 6 games. Aside from that they had Meyers, Byrd, Harry, White as the 4 pass catchers.
This year we are looking at Edelman, Jonnu, Henry, Bourne, Agholar and possibly White as well. This is a huge improvement. Also bring back Trent Brown.
Hightower and Chung back. Bring in Judon and Mills? This is going to be the best defense in football again. They are making the playoffs even with Newton. Wouldn't be totally surprised to see Alex Smith or another decent Vet brought in as insurance as well.

Tanking with Tyrod?
Wouldn't you want to trade with Miami and get back all your picks?
