This is the new norm.
The NFL is becoming the NBA more & more by the day. A significant increase in off the court drama. Which the media & fans eat up (24/7 news cycle). Star players are beginning to realize that they have more power. So they want more say. By making headlines. It's a copy cat league after all.
If things keep trending this way, then we'll eventually have only a select few super teams. As stars begin to team up together. While the vast majority of teams are left behind. The current NFL as we know it, will be a thing of the past. The only thing preventing this from happening at the moment is the salary cap. But teams/players will eventually find a way around it. You can bet on it.

For ratings? It's generally good. But for parity & overall fan interest? It's not.

IMHO I think its bad. Since Lebron went to a stacked team in Miami and Durant went to a 73 win team after leaving Oklahoma I haven't followed the NBA. I do however still love watching college basketball.

Cant stand James for the life of me. And I never liked the guys who want to play with their buddies and stack teams. I mean seriously, that would be like BIrd, Jordan and Majic playing together in the 80's. Throw in a McHale, Jabbar, Dr. J. or Worthy to fill out your roster, and there you go!!

Just stopping by to say what an idiot Sharpe is. Most likely scenario is Julio says he knew he was live just to save Sharpe’s butt.
Just a dumb amateur move by him though.

Yup. I think the whole massive player movement in the NBA is one of the biggest problems the NBA has right now. Not only are There just a couple teams that everyone knows going into the season that have a chance to win it all. But what’s the point of being a fan of a team now? You get no connection with players with how often they move and if your team drafts a star player, it’s just a countdown until they leave.
The NFL is different. Teams go worst to first in their divisions all the time. If they draft a player, fans expect to see that player for the next decade.
You take that away, the NFL will have a big problem.

Falcons need depth/talent/picks/cap space. A whole laundry list of things. Julio is expendable and Ridley is the next superstar at wide receiver for the Falcons. Pitts is not far behind at tight end either.

It would have been fun to see him on Seahawks or Packers to make those QBs happy but looks like it was too difficult salary wise. He is also 2 years older than 07 Moss.

I wish the Falcons could have gotten a pick from this season added in.Tackle Dillon Radunz or pass rushing specialist Rashad Weaver.
No doubt about it; Its Ryan, Ridley, and Pitts team.

Wonder how the Patriots feel about trading a second rounder for Sanu a couple years ago...
