How is that a good news. All it means Prime will get way more expensive and Bezos will make more money again.

Now if they would've made it free on fire stick...

It will be free for prime members. So yeah Amazon is still par for the course to take over the world, along with Google.

Would you rather buy DirecTV for a monthly fee of at least $80 a month for a year and then $130+ in the 2nd year (and you have to buy a 2 year contract or the price for a year is more like $95 a month).

So you are talking $1K-$1.5K a year.

If it is on Prime as an add on, I don't think it will cost very much. Maybe like $20 a month.

Bezos may be rich, but he spends a lot on great charitable causes and investments in clean environments.

Plus, Amazon keeps tons of small businesses in business as any small business can sell on their platform...like 50% of their sales are small business sales.

If it's free that is really huge. I doubt they would increase Prime that much because the large majority won't care about the NFL and would not want the increase. If they wanted to increase the price they will likely have it as an add on expense at a price people would definitely pay for.

Yeah, it's obviously not going to be free for Prime members. Even still, I'll take an add on sub vs. the cost DirecTv charges

They're already giving Thursday Night Football free to Prime members... this would just be a step up from that. And they're inching closer to the entire population on Prime.

Prime has 147 million members in the US (200 million WW) and there are 333 million people in the US (of course that includes people under 18 (around 75 million peple). So in some respects, you are right...not entire population, but 147 million subscriptions out of about 260 million people, and of course there are many couples who would only have one subscription.

I doubt they'd give it to everyone for free though, because I think those who wanted it would pay for it, and it would be a lot of people. They probably wouldn't charge a lot for it though. A ton of people just watch their home teams on local networks so it is mostly people who have moved out of market, are just die hard NFL fans overall, or people SO into fantasy they have to watch teams and redzone.

But of course there are so many free streams too that they can't charge too much.
