https://www.profootballrumors.com/2021/09/texans-turned-down-three-first-round-picks-for-deshaun-watsonThe Texans rejected an offer of three first-round draft picks for Deshaun Watson just prior to the draft in April, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports (h/t The Houston Chronicle). In theory, that’s pretty close to the team’s reported ask of three first rounders plus second rounders and/or starting-caliber veterans.
holy moly

Lets see 3 1st round picks, or keep him and just not activate him. That is a real tough choice to make...

Supposedly the Texans and Dolphins are close to making a deal for Watson

Can't happen. He's got over 20 allegations against him.

What might work:
MIA - sends SF 2022 1st, SF 2023 1st, MIA 2023 1st, 2022 SF 3rd, 2023 MIA 3rd, 2024 MIA 3rd
HOU - sends Watson, 2022 6th, 2023 6th, 2024 6th.
HOU follows up with (unless MIA adds a little for them):
Cooks to Balt (or other WR needy team) for a 3rd. Too good to be stuck on Texans.
ZCunningham to a LB needy team for a 3rd rounder in 2023 (TEX could add a 5th if needed). Good lb on a bad team and is unhappy - but has a fairly large contract.

With regards to the allegations, The lawyers for both are big time. Watson's original counsel messed up and blew off the first plaintiff in a way that pissed of the attorney - Buzbee. Buzbee ran for Mayor, has an ego twice the size of Texas and has a lot of big judgments under his belt. Wrong guy to piss off. So, he rounded up the rest of them to make a point that he had the power to take him down. Still, at this point, with the press dying down and his point made, money will take care of it. Instead of the million he originally wanted, it will cost a bit more - I would say at least 10 or 15 million at this point. But, money will resolve this and criminal allegations are not going anywhere. I would not be surprised if Watson negotiates a bonus of some type for agreeing to the trade that pays most of the settlement.

I think Tua is not that bad and he has only played 15 games. When you look at say Josh Allen's first two years there is still a chance he could be good. I would keep assets draft a non QB high this year rather than go all in for the scumbag Watson.

I believe it was all fake news, just a set up by the texans to drum up interest. There was no way. NO WAY. Houston is going to get anything of value back in return. They want firsts and all these high picks. Won't happen. There is way too much Heat on Watson
