The way KC is playing I didn't really like the Chargers chances against them, but with Rashawn Slater out with COVID (unless he somehow gets two negative tests 24 hours apart after testing positive on Monday since he is vaccinated), it's an enormous loss...OL is their biggest weakness.

And I don't think they can do without Keenan Allen again, who was also on the COVID list, though vaccinated, and then they had contact tracing to Mike Williams and Chris Harris Jr.

Then Ekeler went out last week with a sprained ankle, Derwin James with a hamstring and Asante Samuel Jr with a concussion.

It's just amazing hit happens to all their best players on both sides of the ball.

Bosa was out a bit last week too...so not sure if he is back and fully healthy.

Tall order to play this one with all those injuries/COVID after 3 days rest.

Though I didn't expect a win here anyway.

Chargers just need to stay in the playoff hunt...and will have to beat Houston which shouldn't be tough and hopefully the Raiders and Broncos down the stretch.

At least they do hold tiebreakers with Cincy, Cleveland, Pitt, the Raiders and currently KC if they could somehow pull this one out. But lose tiebreakers with the Pats, Ravens and Broncos. Not sure what happens with the Colts.

Browns and Redskins are gonna be fielding practice squad rosters this week. A bunch of other big names going on the covid list including OBJ, Waddle, and Chris Jones. Good chance that a few other big names are added to that list come Sunday and Monday which is gonna suck for fantasy purposes and the over arching playoff picture.

Looks like there is a breakout in Chicago as well, including Allen Robinson and Montgomery. Vikes should have no problems winning that game.

Looks like a day after a positive test, if a player returns negative on two tests (can be taken concurrently) they are good to be cleared. That's a step in the right direction, could help guys like Lockett and Waddle return back to action this week.

I'm sure they will go for it. I'd run a bootleg with Herbert...let him run it or pass it. Running it up the middle doesn't work well. Not much room for a regular passing play.

I think years ago that type of catch used to be ruled a catch. Ground couldn't really cause a fumble. He really controlled it until he hit the ground. Can't believe he couldn't hold onto that though. Waste of a great first possession unless they can get a 3 and out, which is doubtful.

Man - I really hope Parham is okay. I just turned the game on and saw the video of his arms shaking when he was stretchered off. That is so scary and my prayers to him. It really puts all of this stuff in perspective

For blowing that first scoring opportunity after the big runback and getting to the 5 and getting nothing, and then allowing the Chiefs to go 95 yards for the td, then turning it over, giving it right back to them...

Things could certainly be a lot worse for the Chargers right now. Or better, of course.

Funny I don't like him much, at least in relation to the other backs. I obviously like Ekeler better. I really like Justin Jackson. And I even like their rookie, Larry Rountree better as well.

Kelley seems to avg like 3 yards a carry and have bad fumbles. One particularly sticks out in my mind from last year.

Damn these going for it on 4th down when you could take 3 twice is nerve wracking. Especially when you have 1st and goal at the 5 and can't get in on the 1st 3 times. They could be up 20-10. Some bad drops on those though. Parham had that until his land and the ground basically caused his drop. Williams dropped one the first time and that Cook drop was bad. But to get nothing from inside the 5 twice against the Chiefs really hurts.

Well there's the fumble I was talking about.

I asked the same. His ankle is messed up but they gotta stick with Ekeler near the goal line. As a matter of fact, if they are inside the 2 or so with a few downs, I'd run it every time if not going to have Herbert role out where he has the option of running it in himself.

Glad they got it back though. Crazy game.
