Re: Coaches thread
see this is why i like to wait for official confirmation. nfl rumor mills
good thing i didn't get invested in any of these candidates. wonder how michigan fans feel about this considering it looked like bridges were being burned on the way out of ann arbor

Re: Coaches thread
Like I said on the Vikings board before the Harbaugh rumors started. McDaniel would've been my #1 choice, but I would be happy with O'Connell as well. Been under McVay for the last 2 years. Honestly would've been happy with McDaniel, O'Connell or Harbaugh. So Im happy with this outcome.
Was worried we were going to end up with Hackett or Moore.

Are you happy with O'Connell because he's friends with McVay?
It seems like everyone who's been apart of his inner circle eventually gets a HC job somewhere. It really pays to be friends with the guy.

Haha not going to lie, one of the main reasons McDaniel was at the top of my list was because he was part of that young fab 4 back in Washington back in 2013.
McVay
Shanahan
LaFleur
McDaniel
The first 3 seem to be looking pretty damn good so far. But ya Im all good with taking a McVay assistant at the moment. I love the play calling from LA and his guys seem to be doing a pretty damn good job once they become HC. Hell he's going against one of his guys in the SB in 2 weeks. Im more than willing to take a shot with one of these young "offensive gurus" haha.

Sounds like Harbaugh expected to get an offer before leaving the building and when he didn't, he went back to Michigan.

Re: Coaches thread
McVays guys do seem to have the Magic touch when it comes to offensive schematics. The offensive output of the Bengals has been remarkable. Yes burrow. Yes Higgins and receiving Corp, but you still need an offensive structure surrounding the talent. Look at Cleveland, they've got dudes, but can't put it together.
The League seems to want to go point scoring and a team with some offensive punch. Which is why I understand O'Connell at the vikes.

Re: Coaches thread
I'm kind of interested in why O'Connell was such a flop as a QB, but a shooting star as a coach. I'd assume a QB who was a 3rd round pick and had a great understanding of the game would hang around a little longer as backup.

Re: Coaches thread
Ex Cleveland Browns Coach Hugh Jackson 11-44-1. With that sh*t record, no way he gets a shot to coach in the NFL.
Now Hugh Jackson claims in an ESPN interview, that he was asked to TANK GAMES. To get high draft prospects, top picks that Cleveland Browns have used to bolster their team.
Hugh jackson now sides with Flores. Who was also allegedly asked to tank for the Miami Dolphins.

Re: Coaches thread
I hate the way we got here, but Pederson is a good choice
And likely we're bringing on Spielman to be the de facto GM, but this whole rigmarole has left a bad taste in my mouth.
BaF Lakers:
Darius Garland/Cory Joseph
Klay Thompson/Shaedon Sharpe
Keldon Johnson/De'Andre Hunter
Evan Mobley/Tari Eason
Nic Claxton/Draymond Green
Bench: Leonard Miller, Jett Howard, Markquis Nowell, Kennedy Chandler, Day'Ron Sharpe

Raiders need a Top notch DC now that Bradley went to the Colts.
My brilliant plan is to poach either the Bengals DC or the Rams DC.
Good plan, but is it feasible?

Re: Coaches thread
Well ill say this, that defense ain't gonna be the same without Flores schematics. These guys lived on the edge with that flat line defense. A very difficult defense to play against, even more difficult to teach. More than just sending the house, but assignments driven
