It would have to happen fast. In addition to teams needing sorting out their QB spot, when you're on Brady's workout plan you can't just quit for 2 months grilling burgers and playing Madden and then start again. That's what happened to Jagr in NHL apparently before his last season, he took the summer off due to thinking nobody wanted him and signed in October, but you can't really put it back in the bottle at that point when you're on the 45 year old pro athlete plan.
