Willis throws a nice ball. But I have my eye on Desmond Ridder. The guy is a winner. Mature. His combine numbers are impressive.

I wouldnt be shocked if we wont have a single starting QB out of this class within 3 years. I cant remember the last time the talking heads had to find ways to talk up a QB class as bad as this one. Probably 2013? I remember getting a kick out of people trying to convince themselves EJ Manuel and Geno had potential haha.
I do agree with you, if there is one guy Im intrigued about it is Ridder. I also wont lie, Ridder is probably the guy Ive seen actually play the most haha. I can safely say I have not caught a Malik Willis Liberty game haha. I saw a few Pickett games as well.
But from what Ive seen something about Willis throwing motion has me off a little. Just doesnt seem like a smooth natural throwing motion to me, but ya no doubt he has some pop when he throws it.

If I had to bet Willis will likely be the first QB taken (10-20 range). Pickett will fall. Maybe even out of the 1st Round now.
Ridder will go late 1st - early 2nd.

I don't recall that criticism for Mahomes. Me personally, I never had an issue with his throwing motion. Willis throwing the ball reminds me of Hurts throwing the ball. Just doesn't look like a natural throwing motion to me. But no doubt it looks like Willis has the much stronger arm compared to Hurts.
Also with all of that said, I can't sit here and say I've seen a ton of Willis haha. Liberty football definitely wasn't on my to watch list the past year haha. So I'm going off strictly combine, highlights, and a few scouting guys I watch.
So me not being the biggest fan of Willis isn't a hill I will be willing to die on. But I am definitely weary of a very well known weak QB class that has a super late riser in it. This year's QB class reminds me of the EJ Manuel class. Everyone knew it was a garbage QB class then they had to talk a QB to be a worthy 1st round pick.
If I was a team that needed a QB, is much rather do a stop gap at QB this year then draft a QB early next year with a much better QB class.

Are we sure next year's is that much better?
I've not really been that impressed with Bryce Young. I think he's mostly been hyped up because it's Bama.
Stroud? Ohio State...
Willis isn't the perfect prospect. But he definitely has the tools that teams fall in love with.
