I mean I know that the NFL has always turned a blind eye to bad behavior, but rewarding a guy that has 22 sexual allegations against him and immediately giving him the most guaranteed money in history is probably not a good look for Goodell and the image of the league. This shows that they absolutely do not care about off the field behavior, as long as there's no jail time. Multiple teams were desperate for him too, so it wasn't like it was just one team like the Browns.

All criminal charges were dropped and in a lot of these cases, once one or two get involved, it's a snowball effect for a money grab

It's a crazy stupid deal......because he's not the best QB. Not by a long shot. PLUS 3 1st round picks? Talk about double dipping. Only guy that's worth all that is Pat Mahomes

You are out your mind. Watson is a stud and only 26. People are even questioning maholmes after his flame out this post season and Watson never had a roster like the chiefs

One of the last games he played , he got blown out against the Bears and Mitch Trubisky. I'm a Bears fan. That Bears team was God awful on both sides of the Field. And Watson put up 7 points against that. I was not impressed at all. That would never happen to Mahomes or Rodgers

Watson had perhaps the best WR in the league for several years and won a whopping one playoff game. He's good but not upper echelon. Not a real floor raiser, either. Texans tanked last season and still won the same number of games as they did with Watson the year before.

Browns are probably gonna look mighty dumb in a few years.

I think you meant to say that Baker will go to the bench once Watson serves his suspension. But honestly, I doubt Baker is going to play another game with the Browns unless he chooses to stay and play it out in order to make himself a more attractive trade option. Considering how he's already requested a trade and the Browns now have Watson, I see no reason as to why Cleveland would still keep him at this point. Their backup QB (whose name I can't remember) will most likely be the one to start the games, and then from that point on it'll be all Watson. I imagine Cleveland will be looking to trade Baker as well as Hunt, which no doubt will nab them some good value in return.

I imagine this, at the very least, makes Cleveland the favorites to take their division. I know one of their division rivals, the Bengals, literally just went to the Superbowl, but part of me feels like that was a case of them getting hot at the right time and that it'll fan out this upcoming season.

The Browns have the best running game in the NFL and will have an improved defense this upcoming season. While I do think people are underrating what Baker brought to the table, this isn't a bad trade at all on the part of the Browns.

Have you met a Cleveland Browns fan? They don't care about any of that ****. They're so desperate for their teams success that they'll take literally anything they can get in a heartbeat.

I'm thinking the same. I mean sure, he's an upgrade from Baker Mayfield no doubt about it. But he's still more top tenish. For what they're giving up both in terms of money and picks, he needs to be top 3. And I just don't see it.

Pretty sure he's referring to the sexual assault stuff, not Watson's abilities as a player. Watson led the league in passing yards in 2020. If he's able to stay near the top in terms of passing yards, he's most definitely a top 5 QB in the league.

Can you name 5 people who had 10+ people make claims against them? Watson has 22. Possible but unlikely these were all made up.
