Ben is getting roasted for saying players appear more selfish than when he began in the league. Every day they say some player needs to go for max money or they are a sucker. They have to get the 'bag.' Then they turn around and say it is ridiculous that players are becoming more selfish. If a star player took 15 mil instead of the 20 mil some other guy got, he is considered a dumbass and the media will rip on him. With a hard cap, it seems pretty obvious that if one guy sucks up all the money, the team is going to stink. I know many players have taken less money to have a team around them. That seems smart if you give a crap about winning and your teammates. Most guys make peanuts, so It is sick to see 'stars' going for the bag because 15mil is just not enough. It isn't about respect or being disrespected if you make less than the guy on another team. Players can still get paid without trying break their teams. Ben is not wrong when he say players are more selfish.
