I hate to admit it but I like the 49ers. Call me old fashion but I love teams that can dominate the line of scrimmage from both sides of the ball.

I was thinking 49ers. But with an Untested gun? Not likely. QB play is huge to over take the Top NFC teams

They have a good defensive front & their defense is a top 10 unit. But their interior O-line has some major holes. They have a new Center & Left Guard. It's been an issue all camp so far if you read the reports. Their offense is going to struggle at times to score. Especially with essentially a first year QB & the clear lack of experience that Lance has.
They are not the best team in the conference. Or the division for that matter. Far from it.
That's an honest assessment of where they currently stand.

The Packers are building a team to dominate both lines of scrimmage. I like their chances this year more than any since 2009-2010

2 #1 seeds in consecutive years, with nothing to show for it, might be too much of a massive failure to overcome

Aside from the Vikings none of the NFC teams looked that impressive. Rams looked bad (against an awesome opponent, to be fair), Packers couldn’t move the ball through the air, Eagles gave up a bunch of points, Niners offense looked bad in a monsoon, Saints needed a huge comeback against the Falcons, Cowboys are already a disaster and the Buccs offense looked pretty meh. It’s just Week 1 but the idea that the NFC is wide open this year seems accurate.
