Why would he choose not to waive his no-trade clause and give up $40M if he's just going to sign for less on some other team?

I don't know man, I just don't know. I'm not a mind reader! Lolz :\

But I wish him nothing but the best. Now moving on we got FA 1st, which will depend/impact what we do in the draft.

We absolutely got to work on pass protection & run blocking on/in/for the Oline 100% & Oline depth.

& for the D# interior dline man to get pass rush/run stopping & we NEED a elite linebacker & also secondary/secondary depth.

THEN WE CAN WORRY ABOUT A F*CKING QB.

He might be able to guarantee more than 40 million if he signs a mutli year contract

Or maybe going to somewhere he feels he can compete for a chance at a Super Bowl. The Jets, for example, could quite possibly be a good QB away from being a serious contender.

I don't understand, how are they already allowed to negotiate a contract with him before free agency even started?

How incompetent are the Saints to give Carr that much money? He's only slightly better than Winston or Dalton who are making 25m/yr less. They could trade up or wait till next year to draft a QB on a rookie deal. Atrocious cap management and guarantees they have no shot at contending for the next few years.
