Hey all, once again we will be having the NFL Picks against the spread competition for all of RealGM forum members.

It only takes a couple minutes to join and also to make your picks each week, and you can see how you do against fellow forum members as well as experts. It adds an extra interest to the games on Sunday, so hopefully people join in and participate to make things fun. Your worst week will be dropped, so no worries if you completely forget one week, you are not out of it, that will just end up being your week dropped.

When does it start?
Register and submit your entry no later than the first game of the NFL season - Thursday, September 5th, at 8:00 pm ET, or at least by Sunday , Sept 8th (you would then only miss 2 games, half of which people will miss). And as mentioned above, if you completely miss week one, no big deal because each participant's worst week is dropped.

How to Play?
1. Join group. Pick an entry name that matches your RealGM username. If you don't already have an account, you can click on "Play Now for Free" and it will ask you to log in or create an account and you can create account there. Many participants use their realgm username for their espn account and their contest entry name.

Rules
[*] Each Tuesday, spreads will be posted on ESPN for the the upcoming week.

[*] Lock-time. All entries will use a rolling lock which allows a player to pick any game that has yet to kick off. Selections submitted after the deadlines are considered invalid, and no points will be received. It is good to make preliminary picks a few days before the games and adjust your picks leading up to the games as you see fit to eliminate the chance of forgetting to make any picks that week at all.

[*] Overall tie-breaker - higher number of points scored for Week 17.

Competition
RealGM NFL Pickem Champion
The player with the highest number of correct picks throughout the season wins the title.

Each correct winning pick will receive one (1) point. Points are not lost for incorrect picks. Picking every game, every week is essential.

However, to ensure people don't drop out if they forget a week or have a terrible week, each entry will have their lowest scoring week dropped from their score.

In. Previous years Top X ranked players and winners would be nice to see in this thread (reference and bragging rights )

Played for the first time last season.. had a rough start but ended hot to end in the top 10 I believe! Is there any way to find those results?

That stretch last year where the Pats were being blown out every game killed me last year, but I’m hoping I can get into the nfl season this year knowing it’s a rebuild.

I was looking for them. I"ll look again. Edit: I see old groups but it shows 0-0, no members as if they wanted me to renew again and it was thinking of this year. It seems they usually let you check past years by changing the year but I couldn't find that option.

Yeah, teams have their down years, but at least you have a top rookie QB to root for. Boston sports can't be great EVERY year.

Great! With spreads, it's a coin toss usually anyway, so you never know.

In. I started hot last year but fell off hard at about the halfway point of the season
