NFC South

I didn't see a NFC South thread but wanted to discuss Cousins.
He's been okay this year, coming back from an Achilles at age 36.
But only 17 TDs to 13 ints. Don't know if that counts one that he threw in today's game vs. Vikes.
He's only getting paid $25 million but he's due $40 million next season and $57.5 million and $57.5 million for the rest of the contract.
They have several good skills players on offense but the team has struggled on defense, particularly the pass rush, which was predicted before the draft.
In fact people criticized them for picking Penix at #9 when they could have used an edge rusher or some other help on defense. Mike Lombardi was mocking their GM over it.
Maybe they can get out of Cousins' contract after this season? Though they have a team which could compete for the division title and a playoffs berth so maybe they don't want to go through developmental pains with Penix, unless he really shows improvement during the offseason.
Otherwise, the division could be pretty much between Falcons and Tampa Bay for the next couple of seasons. London, Pitts and Robinson are on rookie deals for 2 more seasons each after this season.
