North Carolina Tar Heels And Bill belichick.

Post#1 » by bluejerseyjinx » Thu Dec 12, 2024 2:24 pm

We know this is a huge win, win for North Carolina. A home run actually. But how will this move by North Carolina change the landscape of college football, the ACC, recruiting, NIL, etc,.? Hoodies a Heel now !!! :D

Seems Bill has been going to many colleges throughout the spring and summer meeting with all kinds of programs. We all know Bill is very good friends with Sabin, but has also had meeting with Jimmy Johnson and others like Pete Carroll. Wonder what Bill learned from them. As more details are coming out seems this was underneath our noses the whole time and we didn't see it coming.

more money and transfers will flow their way for a couple years. likely to get marginally better recruits but i don't think this moves the needle much for the national landscape

none of it seems sustainable, if they don't make the playoff in the first 2-3 years he might just retire and move on. he's 72! he's not going to be there for 20 years and build a dynasty

Bill spent a good amount of this past year on the UW campus. Because his Son was the DC for Jedd Fisch. He & Fisch have a close relationship.

As a UW follower, this move doesn't surprise me in the least.

I'm starting to believe this was Bills plan all along. I think you and I and perhaps el tourco have been telling Cowboy fans for months there was no way Bill would go to the Cowboys.

Can you really say “F-you” to the NFL if no one wanted him? That’s like BJJ saying “f-you” to all the men he wants to get piped down by, that think he’s too ugly.

Can Newton stated this morning that Bill Belichick is the best thing to happen to North Carolina since Michael Jordan.

I dont get it at all. At 72 you only have so many years left, Id wanna go out and experience some variety rather than sign up for more of what I just spent the last 50 yrs doing.

Some are just drivin for work. They are lost without purpose. I get what you are saying, but I took an early retirement after covid and regret it now that I did. I plan on going back to work, at least part time after football season ends.

If he somehow falls ass backwards into a natty it will be well worth it, I dont think there is a coach that have won both super bowl and college.

barry switzer, jimmy johnson, and pete carroll are the only ones to win a college national title and the super bowl

You are right, he would be the first to win first in pros then college, still a cool achievement.

What was Belichick's overall coaching record without Brady? Browns and non Brady Pats years?
