Should we question all 3 Chiefs' Super Bowls?

Post#1 » by nybluemeadow » Fri Feb 14, 2025 2:19 am

No dominate performance in any Super Bowls. The Super Bowls they lost were all blow outs.

-49ers choked.

-Eagles lost because refs cheated for the Chiefs in the 2nd half.

-49ers lost because of a fluke punt that hit a player's foot.

One game can defiantly be a fluke. Two games, maybe. Three games is defiantly not a fluke.

But that punt off the foot thing was wild.

Don’t forget the wet field conditions in Super Bowl 57 that took away that historic eagles pass rush. Yes both teams had to play on that field, but take away both pass rushes easily puts the eagles at a disadvantage. You think Pat mahomes was running for his life this year, I wonder what would’ve happened under better conditions in 2023. Maybe it wouldn’t have been a close 38-35 win for the chiefs?

The Patriots never had a blowout SB win either. Their biggest win was their last one against the Rams by 10 points.

Otherwise their first 3 were each by 3 points, then another by 4 points, then another by 6 points after a game winning TD in OT.

By this logic we can discount all of those too.

Those 49ers and Eagles teams were good and in 23 especially they had what must be one of the hardest roads to a SB in Buffalo-Baltimore-San Fran (+Miami).

Yup, that's parity for you. Also game plans where teams were going to get a lead and manage the game, work the clock.

That is why the Super Bowl games were often blowouts until the 21st century or maybe the mid 2000s.

Hey but Adam Silver thinks parity is one of the reasons or maybe the main reason why the NFL is so popular and why he's trying to bring parity to the NBA.

Patriots won the same way. So no. Winner is determined by who has more points.

Brady blew out the Chiefs.

Pats blew out the Rams.

Pats never got blown out either.

I suspect this thread won’t age well when looking back years from now.

Where are the Patriots' blowout wins?

https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/patriots-super-bowl-appearances

Only see one-score wins or blowout losses (before Brady and Bellichek).
