Jenkins May Be Traded

Post#1 » by BillyBongThorton » Mon Apr 9, 2007 6:04 pm

News outta the Charlotte Observer, the Panthers are letting it be known that they will listen to trade offers for Jenkins, who in the past has been regarded as one of the NFL's premier run stuffers. Guy has had his share of injuries but this guy is still young and should be looked into by each and very team in the NFL. Of course my colts can't get em because of salary cap issues. Jenkins should be cheap... i would say around a 2nd or a 3rd rounder (i'm leaning more to a 3rd) and hes yours. 1st rounder is just outta the question. how many of you guy would want this guy on your team?

He's had a lot of weight and injury issues, but when he gets himself in good physical shape, he's can be one of the most dominating DT's in the game. He's a bit of a risk that some team may be willing to take to bolster their interior d-line.

I'd love him to come to the Jets, especially for a third or second rounder.

He's perilously close to eating his way out of the league. I saw him in person in January and he's gotta be pushing 400 lbs. No way his knees can take much more.

That said, he can still tie up a G and C on run plays as well as just about anyone. The Panthers are asking for a 2nd and hoping for an attractive 3rd rounder, and for a team with good tackling LBs he'd be an asset. But do you really want to burn a 2nd or 3rd rounder on a one-year rental with significant injury history and weight problems? Paging Dan Snyder...

If the Niners could swing one of their (many) 3rd rounders for Jenkins I'd be thrilled.

When he's healthy, he is one of the best DT in the game.

when i opened this i was thinking about michael jenkins and was thinking why would anyone want that piece of ****?

KRIS jenkins however is good but id be concerned about injuries though he played all year. he could play in the 3-4 not sure if we'd need him but if i had an extra 3rd rounder id look into trading for him so the 49ers would be smart to make a play for him.
