Dante Hall to the Rams

In return, the Chiefs receive a 5th rounder. The teams also swap third-round picks.

I mean, I know Hall's lacking at receiver skills, but that's all they got for him?

Well...what did you expect?

I personally think they overpaid for him.......:dontknow:

I dunno...fourth-rounder? You'd think the Chiefs would have received more, seeing as how they are selling pretty high on him.

I know, I think his game breaking return ability is more valuable than a 5th....

i think a 5th rounder pick is a good trade for hall.

Hall had that one great season but hasn't done much since, I don't think I heard a single thing about him in the past year or so.

Pretty fair trade, IMO.

I bet if we made this same thread about Hester, everyone would cream themselves saying it was a steal by the Rams.

This guy is like 3rd all time in kick returns or something of the sort.

He offers very little as a WR. A 5th round pick seems about right. Plus, how long does a return man last? Jermaine Lewis was a great return man for the Ravens, and he only lasted until he was like 30.

Of course it would be, Hester has less mileage on the odometer. That and he might become of some use at CB.

But regardless, IMO, the perceived value of a KR/PR by the media and fans alike is highly overrated, and that's why I think even a 5th rounder is a bit too much for Hall...

I think, its a pretty fair deal. Hall is a good returner(overrated though), terrible wide out. He was worth in the 4th-5th round range imo. Anything more is much too high for him. Hes worth more than a 6th.

Humble prediction: Hall does not make the team. They essentially gave up nothing for him--the swap of 3rds essentially sucks the value out of the 5th rounder.

I think Hall has to make the team due to fanfare and excitement... if nothing else, he's going to make kickoffs exciting for St. Louis, and will likely break one or two in the coming year.

That said... kickoffs happen about 3-4 times a game, punts that are returnable, maybe 2-3... so is giving a 5th rounder and switching 3rds really underpaying for a guy who might touch the ball 5-7 times per game? Keep in mind that most punters learned to kick away from Hall, and a lot of teams did pooch kicks against the Chiefs to avoid Hall... so he's not all that difficult to take out of the game either. I think the Rams may have overpaid

I wonder how Chief fans feel about this. Trading Hall to their state rival. I know a lotta chief fans can't stand the Rams. A couple of them refer to ST.Louis as St. Louise.

Are you kidding me? Thats it?

What are the Bengals smoking right now? :nonono:

A good Returner could be aquired this cheaply and you dont go for it. Urghhh

We better get a good returner out of this draft.

I'd love to see Hall on the Cowboys.. 5th round pretty cheap for such a game changer..

OMG, he is a product of a special teams unit. He was great when there blocking was great, and they have deteiorated, our's is not much better.

The swapping of the 3rd killed us. It stopped us from getting Tyler. And the fifth round pick apparently could have been packaged for Jenkins. Bad pick.

This trade confirms for me that the Rams were in fact ready to take Ted Ginn at 13.

I wouldnt consider Hall as a terrible WR, he is a good 4th-5th guy.

Hester is younger and better, why wouldn't people think it was a steal?

I always felt like Hall created more on his returns than Hester. No doubt Hester was great, but he also had great blocking. (we can all agree good blocking is the most important part, which is why both guys succeeded ultimately)

Some of Hall's returns are just unreal.

Edit: After doing some research, I can't believe the small number of returns Hester actually had, that is UNREAL.
