If only 2K could make the NFL game and EA could make this game.

No kidding.

I'm just not sure about this. I don't have any doubt that the engine will be awesome, but the fun comes from doing the franchise, playing with the guys that play now for your favorite team, developing players, etc.

true... but it ain't happening.... i don't know when the license is going to end though... i hope some nfl players come out and confront EA on its crappy game quality. we all know nfl players play madden and yet i haven't heard anyone complaining about it. either they are stupid or suck at madden.

You got to give 2k sports credit for hanging in there, but I will probably only rent this game. Something about legends doesn't have a lasting appeal to me.

Pretty sure it was a five year exclusivity agreement, which I think took it through 2009 (so the 2010 game).

So we're four games away from another 2K chance (08, 09, 10, then finally 11).

I could be wrong on the figures.

You know, you can just create these players in any EA game and not have to bother yourself with 2K's crappiness.

Speaking of: I was bored a few weeks back and decided to create an All-Sh*tbum Patriots team in and compete in dynasty mode in Madden. It was awesome. Eugene Chung pull-blocking for Dino Philyaw; Hugh Millen hitting Hart Lee Dykes over the middle for big yardage and, my favorite, Chris Singleton: sack monster.

I'll give it a try, could be fun. I think the 2K games are much better than EA games in hoops and hockey. We older folks can recall when none of the games had NFL players names, you had to edit them all in.

BBJ--brilliant idea. I made an all-time Buckeyes team like that; Art Schlicter throwing to Reggie Germany, Andy Katzenmoyer blitzing behind Alonzo Spellman, Chris Speilman and my HS teammate Raymont Harris with 99 ratings across the board. Started them as the expansion Texans and had weeks of fun with that a few Maddens back.

Just from a short look at the list, how can you not inlude possibly the greatest RB Jim Brown.

I'd guess that he didn't consent to be in the game.
