This is Raider fan is commited to the Silver and Black.. all the way to his final breath
Robert Charles Comer, 50, the first inmate to be put to death in Arizona since November 2000, smiled throughout his execution, which began at 10:03 a.m. PDT
The smile faded as he let out his breath. He was pronounced dead at 10:08 a.m.
Comer was mostly quiet. He looked around at the more than 20 witnesses before focusing on the area where the three people he asked to be there were waiting. Comer mouthed, "Hi, how are you?"
According to media witnesses, Comer held his gaze.
Warden Carson McWilliams then asked him if he had any last words. Comer said, "Yes, Go Raiders."
One witness told CBS 5 News, "He seemed calm, accepting of what was coming. He didn't put up a struggle at all."
He was pronounced dead about five minutes after the injection was administered.
