Series Thread: Seattle Mariners vs Oakland As

Post#1 » by NateMustGo » Wed Apr 25, 2007 10:16 pm

Nothing fancy but im still a fan and would love to stay in this race! A couple of wins in this series would put us right back in contention.

Washed-up burn goes against a very tough Joe Blanton let hope we can get a couple of wins! GO MARINERS!

We may have already won all the games we're going to win against Oakland this year...here's hoping that's not the case.

He really is starting the season off strong. He pitched well tonight. I thought Hargrove left him in too long, but thanks to a lucky double play, he escaped with the CGSO.

Vidro's hitting .299 right now...which is nice, but the lack of power is rather disturbing. I didn't expect much in the way of home runs, but what about the occassional double?

That is the best game ive ever seen out of Washburn, im stoked about him now. Thats one great win our team needed badly. And nice to see Jose G finally get a big hit.

Vidro hit his 1st double of the season today. Batista pitched well and Lopez hit a 2 run HR. Vidro is a great doubles hitter so we might see 30-40 out of him this season.

Washburn pitches a shutout, Batista allows 2 runs and has 6 Ks...maybe not so much good pitching, as it is Oakland being flat out terrible at the plate?

Well, Oakland has sucked...but let's assume for the sake of assumptions that the Mariners ARE taking care of business on the mound. That gives us "hope".
