Briggs to play, Tillman resigned.

Glad to see someone kocked some sense into Briggs. They agreed not to franchise him next season as part of the deal.
The Tillman deal is perplexing; he's a solid corner, but now they have committed a great deal of cap $$ to the least important position on the field to a Cover-2 defense. That money could have gone to Briggs, or extending Urlacher, or Harris, or Mark Anderson who will want a new deal next summer. I think the Bears forgot that in 2005 he was one of the worst CBs in the division too.
