Does anyone have any recomendations on any books about a team in the NFL? I want to read a book that talks alot about "behind the scenes" things, and how they scout players.
I read "Money Ball" which is a great book, and I'd like it to be similar to that one. (it's about Billy Beane and the Oakland A's. def worth a read)

The Blindside: Evolution of a Game.
It's by the same author, Michael Lewis.

"The Draft", which chronicles several players leading into the 2004 (IIRC) draft. Very accurate book about what agents do, the pre-draft training, what front offices are looking at, etc.
I don't rememeber the author and my copy is loaned out; just Google it under sports books

Money Ball is the most over-rated book ever.

Don't take it at face value, rather, take it for what it's trying to say...
Sports teams should take a long, hard look at the market, and try and spot inefficiencies. Then exploit those inefficiencies, to succeed despite limitations.

Thanks Icness, I'm gonna go over to Chapters/Indigo one of these days and pick it up and give it a read, right after I'm done with this monstrosity of a Thomas Friedman Book (The World is Flat)

I think I recommended this to you in the sports books thread on the Bucks board. Either way, I really liked it so Im glad you enjoyed it. I love Feinstein's writing, especially about golf and college hoops.
