Relocation Discussion

Post#1 » by Klomp » Sun Aug 26, 2007 4:50 am

What teams are ready to relocate to new cities and what teams are ready to get a football team.

Lets try to think outside the box and not say Los Angeles needs a team. We know that already.

Excuse me?

NFL Would do well here in Toronto.

But the NFL isn't coming to Toronto, except in a meaningless exhibition game, for a very long time.

Canada would go wild over an NFL team. I think that would be good for everyone, but I don't see that happening for a long time if at all. I don't think there will be any relocating in the near future.

The only team that might come close to moving in the near future is Jacksonville, but not for a very, very, very long time.

The 32 teams right now aren't moving for at least a decade.

Packers are going to move. They have no fan base and the one's who are there are going to kill themselves when Favre retires. I say a move to Las Vegas

New Orleans and Minnesota were the biggest candidates to move, but with the new stadium in Minny and the refurbishing of the Super Dome neither is going anywhere.

Best candidate to move now is Oakland, but only when Al Davis dies. He's not kidding when he complains he cannot make expected money there and they'll find out once he's gone how unattractive that market is.

Vegas will NEVER happen. No chance in hell. Same reason there will never be an NFL team in Canada.

San Antonio would have to be the leader in the clubhouse right now, but I know the NFL is extraordinarily interested in Mexico. Hard to say how feasible that would be, and I think the NFLPA would raise a stink.
