Defensive rookie of the year
A homer pick, but I think LaRon Landry can win it. Hes looked amazing so far in the preseason.
Haven't really seen any other rookies. Based on what I saw in college, Patrick Willis and Gaines Adams should be kept an eye on.

Willis seems like the clear cut favorite for a lot of people, but Im going with another LB. Lawrence Timmons is going to win it easy imo, why? The fact he is in a 3-4 defense and he will get a bunch of sacks.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

Jamaal Anderson has a good chance if John Abraham, Grady Jackson and Rod Coleman can stay healthy. Well, get healthy in Coleman's case. Abraham and Coleman are two of the best pass rushers in the league and Jackson was great last year. Anderson shouldn't have too much pressure on him.
Unfortunately those are three of the last players you want to depend on to stay healthy and productive.

Carriker simple choice.
If he can stuff some runs and improve our runs stopping you will see us do well. If he does this he takes pressure off LL thus making LL get tons of sacks(he gets double digit sacks whist being double teamed live every play)
Our defense will do well we will do well.
Carriker if he does this is hands down the winner.
Non team pick: Revis

Oh, because it isn't possible for anyone to do more than that?
What if someone does that, and racks up more sacks?
Anyway, LaRon Landry is my favorite defensive player in this draft, but I'd bet money that Patrick Willis runs away with this.

Yeah its easiest for linebackers because they get tons of tackles along with the occasional sack and INT.
I think Landry will have around 80 tackles, 3 INT's, 3 FF's and 4 sacks. Not sure if that will be enough to win him DROY. His attitude reminds me a lot of Brian Dawkins. I love how after every time he destroys a QB he stands on top of him and stares him down. Hes already done it to every QB we've played in the preseason so far.
I've never been this excited about a Skins rookie, not even Sean Taylor.

It's funny how high people are on LaRon now, it seemed like the world was laughing at me when I said he was better than Reggie Nelson and the best safety prospect since Sean Taylor....
LSU FTW.
Still, Willis is gonna rack up probably about 120+ tackles and probably a few sacks and a pick or 2.

My best guesses:
Posluszny is going to rack up a lot of tackles and he's got a knack for forcing fumbles. Dick Jauron is a guy who will put 3 MLBs on the field at the same time if they're his best 3 LBs, so don't worry about him fighting with Digiorgio for the starting gig. Posluszny will get some blitzing opportunities too.
Jamaal Anderson will be the rookie sack leader. How much weight that carries and how many he gets (my guess--10.5) is a good question.
Lamarr Woodley in Pittsburgh has been the best LB on the field for them, better than their pretty decent vets. He's shown explosion off the snap and the ability to get off blockers that I didn't think he had. He was consistently strong in coverage too in their last game. Mark my words--the will not miss Joey Porter one iota thanks to him. Oh, and if Timmons wasn't a 1st rounder they would have cut him already--he's been awful and has no clue how to play in their scheme. It's like watching Jose Canseco pitch--you can see the raw talent and God-given athletic ability, but it's just embarrassing how it's being used, and he's too cocky (for now) to suck it up and work at his craft.
Sadly I have not yet seen the 49ers to judge Willis. Joe Staley tells me Willis is a freaking beast, and I trust him. I thought heading into the draft he was a slightly faster version of Demeco Ryans, so he'll certainly have a good shot.
He won't qualify as a rookie, but Chad Greenway in Minnesota would be right there in the voting.
Landry is a good prediction too. Don't forget about Brandon Meriweather either.
