Now that Michael Vick is Gone , Is Reggie Bush the most
Overrated Player in the League . Does anybody think his play has been a huge disappointment for a # 2 pick . I personally would Pick Joseph Addai over him . I know Bush is the More Flashy Player . But Addai is the more Consistent player and will continue to get better

I wouldn't say he's the most overrated. Bush is the type of player that is going to give you a few bad games every year followed by four or five great ones in a row.Does anybody think his play has been a huge disappointment for a # 2 pick .
People say the same thing about Ronnie Brown and I couldn't disagree more with them. The same goes for Bush.I personally would Pick Joseph Addai over him .
Joeseph Addai doesn't attract a fraction of the defensive schemes Reggie Bush faces. Opposing teams entire focus is on Bush most of the game as a receiver and a runner. The same can be said for how many other players in the game besides LT, and Steven Jackson?I know Bush is the More Flashy Player . But Addai is the more Consistent player and will continue to get better
Being on the Colts doesn't help that at all? Having the best QB perhaps all time on your team doesn't help that?
Both will continue to get better but Bush has a Mile long lead in overall talent, and upside than Addai.
I can also promise you this.... If the Saints offered Reggie Bush to the Colts for Joseph Addai the offer would gladly be accepted by Indy..

The Saints had one of the Best Offense last year and he was basically mediocre . So don't give me that excuse he did have any talent around him .
If he has more talent than why Does Addai have better numbers . I highly doubt the Colts would do that trade . Besides being a better Runner than Bush . He is also a better Blocker Also . The Saints made a mistake picking Bush over Him .

LOL, Joseph Addai isn't nearly the player Bush is, or will be.
And this is from a diehard LSU fan, come on....
Like Mike Vick, you can't be overrated when every guy on a message board who knows very little about football and game planning thinks you suck lol.

Yeah, but like.... As a running back, i'd argue that Addai > Bush. But not like, as an overall football player/athlete.*
Just like i would say that vick was one of the worst qbs in the league. But he was one of the best football players/athletes in the league.*
And this is coming from a diehard Central Connecticut State University Fan.
*Doesnt make sense.

Of course Bush is the most overrated player in the NFL. Watching the pre-game coverage of the Colts game, you'd have definitely thought he was the best player on the Saints if you didn't know much about the NFL. Heck, you might have thought he and Manning were just going to play 1 vs. 1 to decide the thing. At this point, the NFL media has resorted to just totally making stuff up about him, like the fact that he's a great kick return guy. As any Saints fan could tell you, Bush doesn't return kicks at all, only punts (where he splits time and averaged a pedestrian 7.7 YPR). Ultimately Bush is a guy platooning at RB, who is not one of the best 5 players on his own team that people give credit as being one of the NFL's superstars. That's pretty much the definition of overrated.
But with that said, the anti-hype is also going a bit far (just like it did with Vick.....at least in a strictly on the field sense). All this "Bush sucks, will always suck, has always sucked" is crap as well. From what I saw at the end of last year, Bush is a unique player who is versatile enough to create match-up problems. With the exception of SD, KC and SL there is probably not a team in the NFL that wouldn't love to bring in Bush to platoon with their current RB. Some teams might even use him as the full-time guy. Also, he still has plenty of potential, and will likely continue to get better.
So there's my opinion of the matter. Bush is a nice player that I'd love to see on any team that I root for, but is far from deserving of the superstar label that people are forcing on him.

It makes sense, it's just wrong.
