Poor Jason Webster. That dude just can't get it together. He breaks his forearm AFTER he breaks Ko Simpson's ankle. (his teammate)

Losing Jansen is bad for the locker room. I don't think we will lose a lot of production though. The rookie filling in for him has played well above expecatations. Heyer has looked much better than he should. Hopefully he keeps it up.

d'bustashaw ferguson might as well be injured, he has been a ghost throughout the preseason and the 1st game of the regular season.

The list grows:
Orlando Pace is indeed out for the year (mental note: my Rams guy is never wrong!)
Eli Manning out 4-6 weeks
Bears DT Dusty Dvoracek out for the season, which means in his two seasons he's played exactly 3 quarters.
MIA safety Yeremiah Bell out for the season, which is a huge blow

JAX brought in two kickers today, one of them Josh Huston, because Scobee is likely out 3-4 weeks. Haven't heard the results of his MRI yet.

I'm getting confused about some of these Giants injuries. I just heard on Sirius NFL radio Eli is day-to-day, but I've also heard like what was said here, 4-6 weeks. Also, I've heard Osi Umenyoura is either out two months, or is "day-to-day". What's the deal?

I heard from a little birdie this morning that McNair might be out for a few weeks with a groin injury. Makes sense--it explains why his balls were sailing high. No pun intended.

anyone think the # of injuries are b/c of a lack of game shape or humidity in some places? b/c it seems like its a lot higher then last year, i probably thought this same thing last year as well.

Few players have been unluckier than Mike Brown these last few seasons. It's a big blow to the Bears defense (once again) as Brown probably makes one of the top 3 biggest impacts on the Bears defense (along with Urlacher and Harris).

Dusty's no slouch either and was our starting nose tackle. He looked great in pre-season and now he's out for the season.

Looks like it's a matter of time before Urlacher, Harris, Briggs and Vasher go down with injuries too.

Yup, It definitely seems to be higher this year compared to last year. I don't think you can pinpoint to one specific reason though. It's definitely flukey (the amount of significant injuries in week 1)
