Post#1 » by mr.ankle » Wed Sep 26, 2007 12:04 am

I mean so far all they have done is beat up a bunch of bad teams . They have not played any real teams yet , Like the Colts , Steelers, or Cowboys . yet . I know they are good team . But it's to Early to Crown them Super Bowl Champions . Like what all of the Espn Analyst have predicted . I still think there Defense is still Suspect

They beat two 2006 playoff teams and a division rival. Bad teams? Maybe the Bills...

They're a great team but not unbeatable. Does anyone pay any attention to ESPN?

The Patriots are doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing. Why should we call them overrated for beating 3 teams that they should have (and did) beat handily?

No. They're not unbeatable.

No one's unbeatable in the NFL.

Thing is, with the Patriots, there's only one thing they're MAYBE sub-par at. And there are few teams that could take advantage of it.

Are you serious? Obviously anyone crowning champions this early is a fool, but in a league with as much parity as the NFL, beating 3 teams in a row by blowout should knock your socks off no matter who they play, and they haven't even played a particularly weak schedule. Do you understand that while the Chargers are disappointed, they haven't exactly done terrible so far other than in the loss to the Patriots? Besides that there only sin is having lost to an undefeated team on the road in a game that could easily have gone the other way.

When creating a thread like this, I believe you should provide us with more reasons to why you feel the way you do, because for the most part everyone knows what New England brings to the table.

The defense is solid.

Randy Moss has been a missing piece that Tom Brady is clearly enjoying.

[color=green]You do know who Tom Brady is don

They're too shady for me. They have already been caught cheating once this year and they score 38 points every game. Coincidence? I think not. Lucky for them they didn't give up another TD in their last game.

I think they brought in Adalius Thomas to shore up that D and they'll get Seymour and Rodney Harrison back in a couple of weeks. They're good and they have the best coach out there.

Using an example from last year is pretty much useless, they were without Harrison for the game and Seymour missed most of it.

They added A. Thomas to deal with the mid range passes and he has done just that so far. There defense has looked great so far and thats without Harrison, Asante Samuel is not close to what he will be later in the year conditioning wise. The scariest part is that there D has looked this good without arguably the best DL in the league in Richard Seymour. This team hasnt even hit their stride yet and they are rolling over teams, 2 of which were playoff teams last year. Also, id say the Chargers have a good offense, they are just struggling.

But, yes they could go out and given week and lay an egg and lose, its the NFL. But as for being overrated, not at all as this team doesnt have much of a weakness.

Apparently not this year. LT with like 130 yards in 3 games. Rivers can't win a game without LT.

i fail to see how they're overrated. the cowboys may be the 3rd best team in the league and when we play them in 3 weeks I think theres a very good chance they blow us out. and its a home game. they've looked dominant so far and tom brady is on his way to having one of the greatest seasons of all time.

On a similar but not completely moronic note, i thought about it today and there defense is not quite as good as i thought it was. Though if they were at full strength then the point would be negated.

Anyways, two of the offenses they faced are completely inept (the bills have tools like Evans and Lynch but they have no QB),

The Chargers offense hasnt shown any flashes of last year. I understand they played tough defensive teams but there should at least be some plays that show up where you see them like they were last year.

I could be completely wrong on this, but either way it should be answered this week.
