Official Week 4 Thread (Primetime)

Post#1 » by J.Kim » Sat Sep 29, 2007 3:29 pm

Sorry guys, I had very little time this week to make this thing, and now I have to read for my Economics course (albeit, watching the President's cup), so I won't be doing anything special with either threads.

After the Iggles breakout performance last week, my over/under for total yards vs. the horrendous Giants D is 1200 yards.

Westbrook, Dawkins, Sheppard, LJ Smith, and William Thomas are all out for the Eagles.

Yes, I'm serious.

The Eagles are gonna be in tough without their best offensive player, two best defensive players, pro bowl LT, and starting TE.

I guess it's gonna have to be like the old days, McNabb's gonna have to win it on his own.

Need a Giants win. The Eagles going down early will help a lot. The Giants will fold late in the season like they always do. The Eagles on the other have the potential to be DANGEROUS. They face a lot of tough teams after this week and are potentially done if they lose tonight as they will be 0-2 in the NFC East. Looking at a possible sweep by both the Cowboys and Redskins.

You're getting ahead of yourself here, it's week 4.

I'm not sure why you'd count the Eagles out after 4 weeks anyway, considering the improbable comeback they made last year.

Also, how are the Eagles facing a possible sweep by the Cowboys? They haven't even played yet, and last year it was the Eagles sweeping the Cowboys.

It's the same reason he says Washington will be 11-5.

Anyway, Giants are not good at all. Eagles, even with all the injuries, are still better. Philly wins big.

I don't think the Giants are that bad, they played really, really well in the second half last week. Eli always seems to play well vs. the Eagles as well.

Teams who start of 1-3 have a less than 5% chance of making the playoffs. The odds stack up against the Eagles if they lose tonight. Regarding the sweep by the Cowboys, the Boys are better than the Eagles at all three faces of the game. I'm even thinking the Cowboys will probably sweep the Redskins.

The Eagles have defied odds numerous times before, but whatever, people will continue to count them out.

The "'Boys" have beaten 4 teams, with a combined 2-13 record. Once again, everyone thought they'd win the division by beating the Eagles last year in Dallas on Christmas Day, and the Eagles absolutely abused them.

Hey I'm all for the Eagles or the Skins winning the division but we don't get a cheese cake start like them. Momentum is huge and the Boys play JV league teams in the early part of there schedule. But if the Eagles lose today and the Skins and Boys win next week, the division will be extremely hard for the Eagles to win.

Genius, the Cowboys and Redskins have both played the Giants and Dolphins.
The Redskins lost to the Giants and barely won with a field goal in OT against the dolphins.

In our first 5 games, we will face 4 teams with a .500 or above record. The Cowboys have faced two 0-4 teams and one 1-3 along with playing another 1-3 team next week.
