DeAngelo Hall

Atlanta Falcons Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall asked the franchise to trade him last week, according to two sources. The Falcons informed Hall that his request will not be immediately granted.
"He's going to play out the season and see what happens," said a source close to Hall. "He's not happy, but he'll calm down and see how things are

More like Terry Glenn of CB's. At least TO is good.

Has not been relevant since his rookie season. Nor has he developed much.

Hes a good corner. Not great but he gets the job done. He gets too much flak because of his potential and mouth. Hes definetly an under achiever but its not like hes had a lot of help in the Falcons secondary. The rest of his teammates have always been poo poo.
I'd welcome him in Washington. Brandon Lloyd + Shawn Springs + 2nd round pick for him.
Rogers
Hall
Taylor
Landry

Hall's an average corner that would be much better if he stopped playing at Foxwoods on every coverage assignment.

Hall is one of the most talented players in the league and one of the best corners when he's focused. Because of his mental lapses he's fairly inconsistent, but most teams tend to avoid throwing in his direction. That also has a lot to do with the corners he has opposite him.
He's a headcase, but his "meltdown" (more like the ref's stupidity) came in the middle of him completely shutting Steve Smith down.

Thanks Monkeyfeng06, I missed this article.
I agree with High 5 on almost everything he said.
If traded he's going to be missed on and off the field.

He is decent. Hall is decent too. I didn't want to discredit Hall too much and compare him to Freddie Mitchell.

Coming out of college, I was convinced that DeAngelo Hall is the second coming of Darrell Green. Not big but extremely fast and plays bigger than his size.
I'd still take him on my team. I think under a defensive coordinator who uses his skills properly and keeps him motivated, he could be awesome. Probably not Darrell Green awesome but hey who knows. I think Gregg Williams is the perfect coach for him.
Bring him to DC please.

People need to realize that Hall has never had much help in the secondary. Players like Jason Webster, Lewis Sanders, Bryan Scott, Keion Carpenter, Cory Hall and Allen Rossum have all started in that secondary. Lawyer Milloy is the best player he has had beside him and he's way past his prime.
Having Ed Donatell as his DC didn't help much, either.

And trade what? A first round pick, so then Skins fans can complain about how we keep trading away picks for players? Bull. Smoot-Springs-Rogers is a good enough trio to get the job done. DC doesn't need Hall.

i have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about
i am a Falcons' fan and watch Hall all the time, and i can tell you that Hall is a legit "Shut Down Corner".
their are only maybe 1 or 2 corners who might be better than him.
i guess it is just one of those things where if people don't like a guy, then they only remember the bad things about that guy.
he does well against elite receivers, and just yesterday against the texans i didn't here his name called once, because i think his guy only caught one ball, and thus shut him down.
i totally agree with High5, i think that Mora is an idiot and his cover two is garbage and Hall was forced to play zone all of last year, but this year Zim has let him play man and has been brilliant in the last 4 games.
some of you guys might not like Hall, but he is the second best Corner in the NFL, and that is not just me saying that, alot of experts say that, just look......

good for them, I have seen plenty of him too, and he's not the second best corner in the league. I'd love to trade for him though

Hall has the potential to be the 2nd best CB in the NFC. When he maintains his discpline and doesn't gamble for big plays he's quite good. But Hall has always been a guy who will try to win a game by himself, which often results in him losing a game by himself. And I don't think that's ever going to change--he is who he is.
As far as trade possibilities, right now the options are pretty limited. And his poor attitude limits the desire to bring him in. You can forget about the talk of Larry Fitzgerald or Aaron Rodgers or Ladell Betts or Chester Taylor or Rex Grossman or Mike Rucker. The one rumor I've heard that might have legs: Josh McCown in Oakland, though Hall would be their nickel back and I think we all know how that would turn out...

I believe the most recent game would be the Carolina game. I know the refs made some bad calls, but bottom line is that if Hall shuts his mouth we (The Falcons) in all likely hood win that game.
That being said, we have zero secondary except for Hall - so I hope we don't trade him for anything short of another first round pick next year.
