Thank god.

15 mins is brutal.

That was my first reaction when I read the subject.

I'm breathing a sigh of relief.

It took me almost 2 weeks to recover from that Chat session on RealGM Chat for the last NFL Draft.
It also took my couch 2 weeks to recover from the major ass groove I made on that day.

Sweet! I can't stand sitting their for 15 minutes for each team to draft. That'll really benefit us fans along with the analysts there so they don't have to keep us busy as long. Should go alot smoother and quicker now.

I concur 15 minutes was way too long. Basically an hour for 4 picks. Horrible.

It certainly makes the draft more watchable, but I expect it to reduce the amount of maneuvering going on in between picks. Less trades as teams have less reaction time and less time to think up new scenarios and negotiate.

Teams still have needs to fill, so many of those trades might happen after all the cards have fallen instead of during the draft.

i am extremely relieved that the NFL did this. Most teams know who they are going to pick, they just wait til the last second to try to get a last minute trade. i'm glad goodell put a stop to that. i went to the last draft and ended up leaving after the 1st round cause it was six and a half hours long. now i will definitely keep going to the draft with the shortened times.

You're welcome. But I had no part in this.

As a fan I'm excited.

But why should they sacrifice the team's interest for fans.
These moves make the franchise, why not give them 15 minutes.

They have all year trying to figure out who they're going to pick, and what their trading options are.

You really think an extra 10 minutes of sitting on the phone waiting for possible deals is going to make or break a team?

When players fall, and you receive a trade offer, you can't prepare for that. I feel this move maybe insignificant, but it helps the fans not the teams.

Guess this is more of a purest thing where i feel they are only changing the rules for more entertainment.
