There is speculation among fans and media in Carolina that this could be David Carr's last season in the NFL.
Carr, who has battled injuries this season, is going through the worst season of his career. He lost the starting Panthers quarterback job to Vinny Testaverde, 44. Then Carr was pulled from last week's 31-6 loss to New Orleans in favor of Matt Moore, an undrafted free agent.
After the Texans waived him, Carr signed a two-year deal with the Panthers for $6 million.
To make matters worse for coach John Fox, who could be fired after the season and replaced by Bill Cowher, Carolina (4-7) is 0-5 at home this season. The Panthers have a seven-game losing streak at home dating to last season.
bye bye David Carr?

As for Carr, why on earth would anyone want him? When you're badly outplayed by 44-year old Vinny Green Balls and lousy undrafted rookie Matt Moore, I don't see much of a future.
i believe bill cowher will be the nest head coach of the panthers.

this is what makes me laugh about many fans who think they know about football. can make all of the proper calls. think they know better.
isnt this the same coach that was rated, not too long ago, close to if not coach of year?
took his team to a superbowl?
this is that same guy. yet some fans believe they know better or how truly easy it is to coach in the league.
in the league, you are a genius one day and fired the next.
there are no true genius' in the game, unless of course you are norm chow. what he has done to VY is truly remarkable. its up to VY to come through with his end of the bargain.

Gotta throw in VY into conversation in every post. How is Marshall Faulk/Barry Sanders hybrid playing? Media has forgotten all about him and moved on to another superstar du jour in AP. At least, he deserves it.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

I only said Carr would be a bit better. I didn't think he'd ever be that great, with the sidearm throw and all (come on), but you can't set your rookie franchise QB behind an offensive line that other teams were willing to let go.
