AP - Brett Favre's standout season for the resurgent Packers has earned him the title of 2007 Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year, making him the fourth quarterback to win the award in its 53-year history.

Please, if he wasnt on your team you wouldnt be praising the guy. Case in point, Michael Irvin. He owned up to it, got clean and now helps others that have those problems, yet all you cheeseheads still act like hes some pathetic drug addict getting his fix everyday.

You cant have it both ways, and at least I have sense enough to seperate the offfield issues from onfield talent. I still think Brett is a great player and dont think hes any less of a player because of the issues. I simply dont see someone that nearly killed himself drunk driving in college, and who became a pill addict as a Role Model or someone to look up to. But maybe thats just me, maybe most people dont mind those things in a Role Model or someone to look up to.
