I know theres lots of parity but thats still pretty shocking. Teams obviously arent going to win the division every year, but to miss the playoffs completely?


*Actually, its not official yet, but if the Vikings win one more or the Redskins win two more the Saints are out. (But i think the chances of that happening are pretty bad.

A combined 46-18 last year, 24-36 combined so far this year with 4 left to play.

With four divisions and just two wild-cards, you often have just as good a chance to win your division as getting the wild card, so if you aren't winning the division it's not surprising you miss the playoffs.

The other four from last season will also win their division this year, no one has dropped from division winner to wild card.
