Defensive Player of the YEAR?

Post#1 » by One DayNYK » Fri Dec 28, 2007 9:01 am

Hi, Im new to the forums by the way.

I was just thinking to myself the other day and realised there really is no clear cut winner for the DPOY this year.

Cromartie could have a shot with 10 picks but i don't know.

Maybe the probably Defensive Rookie of the year in Pat Willis?

Who do you think it might be?

Sean Taylor :dontknow:

I would have voted him through his last game.

I think that would be a great thing to do, and it would be deserving IMO.

I'm all for giving Taylor his props, but can we not go over board with it? Give it to someone who deserves it.

There are like 6-7 really good candidates this season with nobody standing out above the rest. Kerney's been an absolute beast up in Seattle. I think I may go with him.

Sean Taylor would have been DPOY but there are players who deserve it more

I hope they consider London Fletcher. Hes been an absolute beast and his stats are DPOY worthy.

Haynesworth missed three games. I wouldn't give it to him.

Bob Sanders
Patrick Kerney
Terrence McGee

One of those three.

^Damn, I thought Haynesworth played all year. Oh well, if not him, then:

Bob Sanders
Patrick Kerney
London Fletcher (Although I doubt he'd win it, not enough media exposure)
Charles Woodson
EJ Henderson
Mario Williams (Not a Texans fan, but homerism kicks in here)

while that may be true his defense completely fell apart in the games he missed. he was the most dominant player in the league

I'd vote for Haynesworth, but others I'd consider would be Sanders, Kerney, or DeMarcus Ware.

I'd say Kerney is a close second.

Give it to Bob Sanders. He was finally healthy and we all know how Colts D looks without him. Fat Man is the second cause of missed games.
