Martz to be fired

Mike Martz will be fired as OC of the Lions after Sunday's game, to be replaced by Kippy Brown, currently an underling.
This is not a surprise, as he and Marinelli have butted heads repeatedly and Marinelli went to Mr. Ford two weeks ago with the dreaded "it's him or me" proclamation.
I wonder how much this will affect what the Lions do this offseason and how drastically the offense will change. Also, any bets on where Martz winds up?

49ers is my guess. But they have Frank Gore there, and Martz doesn't like to run the ball.

Why the hell would he want to go there? I mean really. They have no offense at all. Martz is a old man. He doesn't want to be waiting 5 years till he gets qb just to pass the ball.

Teams can change in an instant in the NFL but if not the Falcons the Dolphins might take him.

I like Marinelli and what he's done to improve the team, but thrusting an ultimatum like that? We had more interceptions than touchdowns because John Kitna is our quarterback, and more importantly, we have no offensive line - that's not Martz' fault.
It's Millen's job to get those two to work together. Dumars could've done it. Dombrosky could have done it. Reason #4372286 to fire Millen.

not the falcons. unless they some how get a qb. or wrs. they have no offense. i don't know much about their defense but this team is not just going to be good next year unless they do the things above.

Falcons are fine at QB and WR. Redman isn't great by any means, but I think he can move the offense if we can get a solid OL. More for run blocking that pass protection. We have no running game at all because they aren't able to open up holes and Petrino overused Dunn.
But no matter what moves we make the Falcons will win the NFC South next year. That's the way the South works.

Did I read this right? We're talking about former Baltimore Ravens backup Chris Redman .... right?

I agree with J.Kim and livestrong about Redman....seriously High 5?
However, livetrong, Roddy White has had a solid season thi year with 1000+ yards and I think 8 TDs. So I think they're fine at WR, atm. Also they have Crumpler, their main issue is their O-line though, they need to fix it or refurbish it somehow.

This is how feeble the Lions have become; even a thread about the Lions gets overtaken by something more powerful and attention-holding: Chris Redman.
