The Skins have destroyed everything in there path the past four weeks.

Winning in Seattle will not be easy but we've got a defense that destroys one dimensional offenses and thats what Seattle is.

Why would you post that?

I think this is going to be a great game. I think the Seahawks are going to end up winning on a last minute score. Actually, I think it could go either way. I wouldn't bet on this game, let's say that.

I posted that because I was confused about the thread with just the time of the game.

The Skins are really peaking right now. With that said, look for the Skins' D to really shut down the Seahawks' offense. Hackett and Branch, who are gimpy, will probably make a couple big plays here and there that will get the Seahawks on the scoreboard.

Collins is on fire right now and the Seahawks will see plenty of Caldwell and McCardell, two guys who have really keyed this playoff run owning backups CBs, which Babineaux and Wilson are.

Beware the Redskins.

With a 27-6 home victory over a Dallas team with nothing to gain, the Redskins secured the NFC's final playoff berth in defiance of convention. The NFL's most resilient team by just about any measure, Washington opens the playoffs at third-seeded Seattle (NBC, Saturday, 4:30 p.m. ET).

The Redskins entered Week 17 with five starters on season-ending reserve lists and a sixth, Sean Taylor, having met a tragic demise. Five other teams entered the weekend with more than five starters lost to injury for the season. None earned playoff spots.

The Redskins played the final three weeks without their injured starting quarterback. They won all three games. Jason Campbell is probably done for the season. That's notable because the five teams with starting quarterbacks on injured reserve watched their teams miss the playoffs.

Six teams placed two starting offensive linemen on season-ending reserve lists this season, but only one -- Washington, of course -- is heading to the playoffs.

Joe Gibbs, I salute you.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Redskins won this game. Honestly, I saw Seattle play against Baltimore a couple of weeks back and I was not impressed by them. Shaun Alexander looks really slow, the offensive line is average, and while they have a trio of receiver threats, they can be shut down if the running game doesn't get going.

Seattle's defense is very strong, but like two weeks ago against Minnesota, Gibbs and co. are not going to abandon the run, so its probably going to be run run run all day against this team to the point where they will wear down (and this happened against Minnesota).

Should be a very interesting game.

Clinton Portis is on fire right now. I expect him to have a really good game.

It's funny that Washington's the #6 seed and Seattle's the #3 seed because apart from a Gibbs double-TO, Washington very well might have the same record and Seattle and the Redskins are definitely the better team. IMO Washington over Seattle is the lock of the week, and Washington at Dallas will be one hell of a game.

As for why, uh, look at that Washington defence. Alexander will be stifled and the Seahawks passing game was never that great.

i got the seahawks in this one. PLaying in seattle is really tough. PLus they got a great passing game going, if they can get some running going i see them winning this one. pretty easily too. now all the redskins fan can roar roar at me and say i am wrong.

Gregg Williams will own your offense if it is one-dimensional. Look for him to employ a similar gameplan to the one he employed against the Lions. You will see a lot of Marcus Washington and the speedy Chris Wilson at DE and Phillip Daniels at DT. Yeah, the corner depth is hurting with Rogers out, but look for the Skins to finally unwrap David Macklin, who has not played much because he doesn't play special teams. It is going to rain anyway in Seattle so that is going to hurt the passing games of both teams. Laron "Dirty Thirty" Landry will look to send Hackett and Branch back to the injured list (he went for Glenn's knee yesterday).

I am scared of Seattle's pass rush with Kerney and Peterson and Heyer, in all likelihood, will give up at least one sack to Kerney, but Portis is the best blocking back in the NFL and Peterson is going to find that he is not going to have much success rushing the passer. I expect the Skins to have success running the ball, because Seattle's DL is built to rush the passer. Constant pounding will wear them down. In the passing game, I see Moss being blanketed by Trufant, but I am not in the least bit scared of Jennings, Babineaux, and Wilson. Yeah, Seattle has Branch, Hackett, Engram, and Burleson, but Washington has Moss, Randle El, Caldwell, McCardell, and the PRO BOWLER Cooleeeeeeyyyyy

I really like the way the Skins are playing right now. I think will see a pretty high scoring game, but the Skins win it.

I'm mostly going to lean towards the advantage at home and go with Seattle. I'm not sure yet, but Seattle would be my pick right now.

I hope the Skins win, but any team with Reche Caldwell is destined to fail. Or maybe I'm just bitter that **** dropped two good passes when he was wide open last season in the AFC Championship game. :banghead:

I stood behind Washington at the beginning of the season and I will continue to do so now. Washington 24-14.
