I like the Seahawks here, their defense has been man-handling offensive lines and Patrick Kerney is a beast. If Hasselbeck and the receivers are clicking on Saturday this could very well be a blowout.

Weather is about the same though.

I got the Packers in this one 34-20. But I could see a Seahawks upset, which would kill me.

I like the Seahawks. Like someone else said Kerney has been playing out of his mind as well as that Seattle defense. Holmgren has history with Favre so that could play a factor in how well they can contain Favre throughout the game.

Holgrem is 2-3 versus the Packers.

Kearney is a great DE but last week he was playing against a rookie tackle last week, while pro bowl caliber Right Tackle Mark Tauscher will take him on. Though I expect the Packers to give Tauscher help at times. Don't forget Aaron Kampman either.

Did you forget we have two of the top corners in the NFL? Also, our defense is pretty dang good themselves. Don't forget after one week.

As a Packer fan im nervous about this game and I think its going to be a tough match up for the Packers.

With that said though I don't realy know what to make of the Seahawks.

Last week they looked great vs the Redskins ecspecially on defense.Seahawks D definatly came to play and the offense put it into high gear when they had to (4th qtr).

But then I keep thinking this is the same Seahawks team that lost to a pathetic Carolina Panther team a couple weeks ago in a game the Seahawks needed to win to stay alive in possibly getting the first rd bye that went to the Packers.

Also the Seahawks defense looked great vs the Redskins at home but the Redskins dont exactly have a great offense.

How will that Seahawks defense look on the road vs the #1 offense in the NFC.

Im confsed.

If I base things on what I seen from the Seahakws last week i'd say the Seahawks have a good shot at an upset.

If I base things on the overall year i'd say the Seahawks are good but dont have what it takes to beat a 13-3 Packers team at Lambeau Field.

Maybe the Seahawks flipped the playoff switch? A vetran team with playoff experiance and who has played in a super bowl might be capable of flipping the switch.

Or did the Seahawks just play well vs the Redskins at home and will go on the road and lay an egg in Lambeau like they did when they went to Carolina.

Someone help me im confused.

I'll be rooting for the Packers, but I don't see it happening. Seattle really impressed me with their defense last week, if they can keep the heat up on Brett they'll win.

Why not?

Packers have a good D. Less yards per game given up, same points per game given up even while playing better teams.

The Packers o-line has given up 18 less sacks than the Seahawks and the Packers have great pass rushing DE's.

Matt Hasselbeck is banged up too, so if anything Matt should be worried especially in Green Bay.

The Packers had a great season, I just don't trust them in the playoffs. If the Seahawks can get after Brett IMO the Packers don't have much of a shot.

The same could easily be said for the Seahawks who hasn't had a productive running game.

And I would trust Favre a lot more than Matt in the playoffs.

If the Packers do what they have been doing most of the year (save for Dallas early) by doing quick slants etc. then Seattle won't have a chance to get to the Packers. Then use play action to set up the deep pass.

Eh I know Brett has had more playoff games under his belt, but he's had his share of stinkers in the playoffs.

Seattle really held down Brett last year, so will see what happens. I'd like to see him get deep into the playoffs atleast one more time, just not liking this matchup.

This isn't the matchup most Packers fans wanted, either, but I for one think the gap is still too large. The 'Hawks shouldn't be able to get any pressure on Favre at all if the gameplan is followed correctly.

The ONLY thing I'm even mildly concerned with is Brett doing what he did in Dallas. IMO, that would be the only thing keeping the Packers from the NFC Championship.

On the other hand, I'm not worried about the Seattle offense at all, especially with MH supposedly banged up. We play the run well (our best run stuffer is 100% healthy again), and we have Harris/Woodson to lock down 2 of Seattle's dangerous 3 receivers. What usually kills us are tight ends, but Pollard hasn't been anything to write home about. In short, their offense does NOT match up well with our defense.
