What Ever Happened To Him?: NFL Edition

Post#1 » by Da Schwab » Tue Jan 8, 2008 8:23 pm

I started a thread like this a while ago, even before the NFL, MLB and NHL forums existed.

It serves as a way for people to find out what happened to some of their favorite players since they retired or just fell off the face of the Earth.

I'll kick this off:

Does anyone know what happened to Tebucky Jones? He popped into my mind when I was talking to some friends about the Patriots and their dynastic run.

After the Dolphins in 2006 he signed with the Patriots again I believe for the 2006 season. But he didn't play at all throughout that year.

After Indy knocked out New England in last year's playoffs I believe the Pats cut him like 1 month later.

He's a FA right now I'm pretty sure.

Tebucky Jones has not formally retired, but I've heard he's looking to land a coaching job for next season. He lasted about 2 weeks in Saints camp last summer IIRC.

Anyone know what happened to Wayne Chrebet? I know he retired from concussions but was wondering what life after football was for him.

Coates went into coaching. He was the HC at Livingstone College, then became the TE coach for the Browns and Cowboys. He's a "Parcells guy", so chances are you'll see him somewhere on the Dolphins sidelines soon. He also runs a non-profit that helps out orphans.

How about Tshimanga Biakabutuka?

BTW, I went to Chrebet's restaurant when I visited Hofstra last summer... wasn't bad, I had a plate of ribs.

Ah, Tim Biakabutuka. Good recall! That guy was an amazing college RB--Darren McFadden reminds me of him in the way they run with speed, power, and balance. Hopefully someone knwos something here...
