Mike Martz to 49'ers

i'm just confused as to why he went there... 49'ers is the worst passing team in the league.. they don't have the talents to be a passing team... why mike martz?

Alex Smith is the antithesis of a Martz QB--he isn't accurate, lacks toughness, likes to run around, afraid to fling it into tight windows. I can't possibly imagine that marriage working out.
The primary reason Martz failed in Detroit was that the OL wasn't up to par. The Detroit OL is miles ahead of the SF OL, as currently constituted. There's not one WR in SF that would get PT ahead of Mike Furrey, the #4 WR in Detroit.
This has unmitigated disaster written all over it, short-term anyways. At least they'll be more fun to watch.
And not to go fantasy on y'all, but if you have Frank Gore in a keeper league, trade him now or suffer later!

vernon davis will probably have a great year next year but he needs to stop his stupid injuries. plus, there is no guarantee that he will get the ball cause 49'ers have no QB.

Since when is the TE used in a Martz offense anyway?
This may hurt Davis more than it helps.

Shaun Hill would be the starting QB with what you just said. Then again, that says a whole lot about our Qb situation. You think Martz would want one of the mid-round QB's in the draft or a FA? I don't think there is anybody in FA. This should get fun.

I'll blame the left side of the line for their struggles. They had Adam Snyder, a backup, playing LT and Larry Allen looked like he was 50 years old. I think they target a LG in FA, move Staley to LT, and look into a RT in the draft. I thought David Baas did a nice job at RG.

I'm not picking on you, Tommy, but I wonder if all the hyperbole around Davis from certain places will cease when he once again:
misses three games with an injury that wouldn't sideline most middle-schoolers;
runs the wrong route or makes the wrong sight read on at least half the snaps;
plants his feet like an ancient statue when asked to run block;
gets pushed out of bounds by a pinkie thrust from a safety;
