All in all, in which order would you rank these teams from 1-3? Who is the greatest team of all time?

You'd rank the 1972 Dolphins above the 1985 Bears?

Kids these days... :nonono:

And if I ranked the Bears over the Dolphins people would be calling me a homer.

Dolphins: 0 losses
Patriots: 0 losses
Bears: 1 loss

Whose better?

I vote we wait until the Patriots either win or lose the Superbowl because then these rankings can easily change accordingly.

According to Mercury Morris and his pipe, there is still only one team standing on top of the mountain.

The Bears and the Patriots, by an extremely wide margin.

Show some pride in your team. Nothing homeristic about claiming the 85 Bears were the best in the game's history.

I'd have a hard time choosing between the Pats and the Bears. The Bears were extremely dominant on both sides of the ball, but the Patriots decimate them offensively. But then, Jim McMahon is possibly the awesomest QB ever.

1) Bears
2) Patriots (They haven't won yet!)
3) Dolphins

The Bears were dominant that year. I wasn't alive to see them but I saw every game on DVD. I also saw most Patriots games this year. You can put the Patriots first if they win, but its still a toss up to me.

Anyways, they are both clearly better then the 72 Dolphins, as BBJ says.

Why are the 'Phins even on this list?

i would go with the patriots.

they went through their tough, almost a loss type of a game. and they passed. they took on the ravens and pulled it out.

while the bears in their 1 game against the dolphins, didnt.

The regular season is really overrated in these discussions. I mean would you select a team that went 15-1 or 16-0 in the regular season but barely won its playoff games

Or a team that went 13-3 and dominated its playoff opponents and super bowl opponent?

*These arent specific examples of any team, just general.

Bears
Pats
Dolphins

That Dolphins team is overrated.

So if I were to replace the Phins, which team do you think I should replace them with? The 70s Steelers? '84 49ers? One of the 90s Cowboys teams?
