Aside from calling Tynes and Gostkowski even, this is a pretty smart write-up but good ol' Dr. Zzzzzzzzz.

More imporantly and on topic: anybody notice how good his stuff has been this season? He's not as curmudgeonly as years past.

I think he gushes about Justin Tuck a little too much, there's no doubt he's becoming a top playmaker, but the Giants best defensive player? Maybe most valuable.

Who would be better? I think he is a better pass-rusher than Osi, but and on the same level as Strahan. Tuck also can play DT, and do so very effectively. He also is a great run stuffer.

I stopped reading him altogether a year or two ago, but damn, when he actually puts together in-depth analysis it seems like he can still write something good.

I will say that he made his prediction a week ago based off of a "hunch", well before doing any analysis on the game. He loses points for that.

I always read Dr.Z out of a habit and he's not bad, but when he goes on reminiscing about players past or talking punters, ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz.

How does matching up offense vs. offense or defense vs. defense make any sense? Last time I checked, and forgive me if I'm wrong because I'm not a big football junkie, but last time I checked in football it's offense vs. defense and defense vs. offense. This ain't baseball, basketball, or hockey, or even soccer where the same player plays both sides of the ball.

Because it's easier. Go player by player and compare them at each position. Defense vs Offense match ups are not as entertaining for an average reader.

And Tuck over Seymour? Injuries slowed down Richard, but just a little while ago he was one of the best Ends in football. Is Tuck really better right now?

I do think Tuck gets overrated, he's like the third option on our DL.
He greatly benefits from Strahan and Osi.
But I hope he lives up to the hype Sunday, he better earn that contract extension

Seymour was pretty bad out there this season. Not terrible, but for a player of his caliber, he was pretty bad.

hopefully next year he'll be alot better. you could tell that injury really messed up his explosiveness off the line. He still managed to bull rush past dudes though once in a while.

Guys like Jason Taylor and Osi have really paved the way for the new prototypical DE/DL er.

Justin Tuck is nothing but a extension of those two. Tuck will be the eventual successor to Strahan once he retires.

Teams now want athletic, quick, powerful guys with good motors to be in DE. Its no longer about size, weight, and technicalities.

He most likely is. Osi, despite the numbers he put up, disappointed me this year, throwing away the Philly game, he really didn't get enough pressure on the opposing QB. Justin was consistently great, he got pressure just about every game.
