Zach Thomas was surpisingly released by the Dolphins last week after 12 years of service, and now he has the chance to ride into the sunset with a winning team.

Hasn't he played in a 4-3 his entire career basically? He's a little small to play in the Patriots system I would think. Especially for a guy with concussion problems. Does he want to take on blockers and get hit a lot more than he has in the past? Doubt it.

As much as I don't want him to go to NE, I want him to win a SB much more.

The Pats could use the youth he'd bring to the linebacker position.

1yr/3mil, apparently Saints and Pats as well offered him contracts. How much more could 1 yr/3 mil be than their offers? Probably just sees it as a good fit for him.
