Yeah, he's 30. Basically it comes down to his injury troubles during his whole tenure with the Pats and the $7.6 million cap hit that would've come this season. Only reason this would be at all surprising is the Pats had enough LB question marks as was.

I'm guessing they're trying to open up money for a Moss payday.
